Malachi 4:1 Part 1 of 2

The LORD of Heaven's Armies says, "The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed--roots, branches and all."

The LORD of Heaven's Armies says, "The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace."
Psalm 1:5  They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly. (see all Psalm 1)
Isaiah 13:9  For see, the day of the LORD is coming--the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger. The land will be made desolate, and all the sinners destroyed with it. (see verses 6-13)
Joel 1:15  The day of the LORD is near, the day when destruction comes from the Almighty. How terrible that day will be! (see all chapter 1)
Joel 2:1  Sound the trumpet in Jerusalem! Raise the alarm on my holy mountain! Let everyone tremble in fear because the day of the LORD is upon us. (see verses 1-17)
Zephaniah 1:14-16  "That terrible day of the LORD is near. Swiftly it comes--a day of bitter tears, a day when even strong men will cry out. It will be a day when the LORD's anger is poured out--a day of terrible distress and anguish, a day of ruin and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, a day of trumpet calls and battle cries. Down go the walled cities and the strongest battlements!" (see verses 14-18)
Malachi 3:2  "But who will be able to endure it when he comes? Who will be able to stand and face him when he appears? For he will be like a blazing fire that refines metal, or like a strong soap that bleaches clothes." (see verses 1-5)
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3  For you know quite well that the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying "Everything is peaceful and secure," then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman's labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. (see verses 1-11)
Revelation 6:15-17  Then everyone--the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy, the powerful, and every slave and free person--all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they cried out to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of their wrath  has come, and who is able to survive?" (see verses 12-17)
