Psalm 89:21-25 Part 2 of 2

"I will steady him with my hand;

    with my powerful arm I will make him strong.

His enemies will not defeat him,

    nor will the wicked overpower him.

I will beat down his adversaries before him

    and destroy those who hate him.

My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him,

    and by my authority he will grow in power.

I will extend his rule over the sea,

    his dominion over the rivers."

1 Kings 2:4  "If you do this, then the LORD will keep the promise he made to me. He told me, 'If your descendants live as they should and follow me faithfully with all their heart and soul, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.' "   (see verses 1-12) 

1 Kings 8:25  "And now, O LORD, God of Israel, carry out the additional promise you made to your servant David, my father. For you said to him, 'If your descendants guard their behavior and faithfully follow me as you have done, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.' "  (see verses 12-30)

1 Kings 9:4-5  "As for you, if you will follow me with integrity and godliness, as David your father did, obeying my commands, decrees, and regulations, then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever. For I made this promise to your father, David: 'One of your descendants will always sit on the throne of Israel.' "  (see verses 1-9, also 11:1-13)

Psalm 89:33  

"But I will never stop loving him

    nor fail to keep my promise to him."  (see verses 26-37)

Jeremiah 33:17  "For this is what the LORD says: David will have a descendant sitting on the throne of Israel forever."  (see verses 14-26)

"I will extend his rule over the sea, his dominion over the rivers." 

Exodus 23:31  "And I will fix your boundaries from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the eastern wilderness to the Euphrates River. I will hand over to you the people now living in the land, and you will drive them out ahead of you."  (see verses 20-23)

May he reign from sea to sea,

    from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.  (see all Psalm 72)

Zechariah 9:10  

I will move the battle chariots from Israel

    and the warhorses from Jerusalem.

I will destroy all the weapons used in battle,

    and your king will bring peace to the nations.

His realm will stretch from sea to sea

    and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.  (see verses 9-17)
