Psalm 89:26-29 Part 3 of 3

"And he will call out to me, 'You are my Father,

    my God, and the Rock of my salvation.'

I will make him my firstborn son,

    the mightiest king on earth.

I will love him and be kind to him forever;

    my covenant with him will never end.

I will preserve an heir for him;

    his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven."

2 Samuel 7:15-16  " 'But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight. Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.' " (see all chapter 7)

Psalm 89:33-34  

"But I will never stop loving him (David)

    nor fail to keep my promise to him.

No, I will not break my covenant;

    I will not take back a single word I said."  (see verses 19-37)

Isaiah 55:3  

"Come to me with your ears wide open.

    Listen, and you will find life.

I will make an everlasting covenant with you.

    I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David."  (see all Psalm 55)

Jeremiah 33:20-21  "This is what the LORD says: If you can break my covenant with the day and the night so that one does not follow the other, only then will my covenant with my servant David be broken. Only then will he no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne. The same is true for my covenant with the Levitical priests who minister before me."  (see all chapter 33)

Psalm 89:4  

" 'I will establish your descendants as kings forever;

    they will sit on your throne from now until eternity.' "

Psalm 89:36  

"His dynasty will go on forever;

    his kingdom will endure as the sun."

Isaiah 9:7  

His government and its peace

    will never end.

He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David

    for all eternity.

The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven's Armies

    will make this happen!  (see verses 1-7)

Hebrews 1:8  But to the Son he says,

    "Your throne, O God, endures for ever and ever.

        You rule with a scepter of justice."  (see all chapter 1)
