Psalm 89:34-37 Part 2 of 2

"No, I will not break my covenant;
    I will not take back a single word I said.
I have sworn an oath to David,
    and in my holiness I cannot lie:
His dynasty will go on forever;
    his kingdom will endure as the sun.
It will be as eternal as the moon,
    my faithful witness in the sky!"

The LORD has taken an oath and will not break his vow:

Jeremiah 17:25  " '... There will always be a descendant of David sitting on the throne here in Jerusalem. Kings and their officials will always ride in and out among the people of Judah in chariots and on horses, and this city will remain forever.' "  (see verses 19-27)
Jeremiah 33:17  "For this is what the LORD says: David will have a descendant sitting on the throne of Israel forever."
Jeremiah 33:20-21  "This is what the LORD says: If you can break my covenant with the day and the night so that one does not follow the other, only then will my covenant with my servant David be broken.
