Psalm 89:26-29 Part 1 of 3

"And he will call out to me, 'You are my Father,

    my God, and the Rock of my salvation.'

I will make him my firstborn son,

    the mightiest king on earth.

I will love him and be kind to him forever;

    my covenant with him will never end.

I will preserve an heir for him;

    his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven."

"And he will call out to me, 'You are my Father,' "

2 Samuel 7:14  " 'I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.' "  (see verses 1-17)

Psalm 2:7  The king proclaims the LORD's decree:

"The LORD said to me, 'You are my son.

    Today I have become your Father.' "  (see all Psalm 2)

Jeremiah 3:19  

"I thought to myself,

    'I would love to treat you as my own children!'

I wanted nothing more than to give you this beautiful land--

    the finest possession in the world.

I looked forward to your calling me 'Father,'

    and I wanted you never to turn from me."  (see verses 6-20)

Isaiah 63:16  

Surely you are still our Father!

    Even if Abraham and Jacob would disown us,

LORD, you would still be our Father.

    You are our Redeemer from ages past.  (see verses 15-19)

Isaiah 64:8  

And yet, O LORD, you are our Father.

    We are the clay, and you are the potter.

    We all are formed by your hand.  (see all chapter 64)

Revelation 21:7  "All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children."  (see verses 1-8)

" 'my God, and the Rock of my salvation.' " 

2 Samuel 22:47  

"The LORD lives! Praise to my Rock!

    May God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted!"  (see all chapter 22)

Psalm 18:31  

For who is God except the LORD?

Psalm 62:1-2  

I wait quietly before God,

    for my victory comes from him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation,

Come, let us sing to the LORD!
