Psalm 90:7-9 Part 1 of 2

We wither beneath your anger;

    we are overwhelmed by your fury.

You spread out our sins before you--

    our secret sins--and you see them all.

We live our lives beneath your wrath,

    ending our years with a groan.

 

We wither beneath your anger;

Psalm 51:2-3 

Wash me clean from my guilt.

    Purify me from my sin.

For I recognize my rebellion;

Psalm 51:17  

Wake up, wake up, O Jerusalem!

    You have drunk the cup of the LORD's fury.

You have drunk the cup of terror,

    tipping out its last drops.  (see verses 17-23)

Jeremiah 23:20  

"The anger of the LORD will not diminish

    until it has finished all he has planned.

In the days to come

    you will understand all this very clearly."

Jeremiah 23:24  

"Can anyone hide from me in a secret place?

    Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?"

How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart?

For the LORD sees clearly what a man does,
