Psalm 90:7-9 Part 2 of 2

We wither beneath your anger;

    we are overwhelmed by your fury.

You spread out our sins before you--

    our secret sins--and you see them all.

We live our lives beneath your wrath,

    ending our years with a groan.

Numbers 14:34-35  " 'Because your men explored the land for forty days, you must wander in the wilderness for forty years--a year for each day, suffering the consequences of your sins. Then you will discover what it is like to have me for an enemy.' I, the LORD, have spoken! I will certainly do these things to every member of the community who has conspired against me. They will be destroyed here in this wilderness, and here they will die!"

Psalm 78:32-33  

But in spite of this, the people kept sinning.

    Despite his wonders, they refused to trust him.

So he ended their lives in failure,

Isaiah 13:13  

"For I will shake the heavens.

    The earth will move from its place

when the LORD of Heaven's Armies displays his wrath

Nahum 1:2  

The LORD is a jealous God,

    filled with vengeance and rage.

He takes revenge on all who oppose him

    and continues to rage against his enemies!  (see verses 2-6)

John 3:36  "And anyone who believes in God's Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn't obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God's angry judgment."  (see all chapter 3)

Romans 2:5  But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.  (see all chapter 2)

Revelation 6:16-17  And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come and who is able to survive?"  (see verses 12-17)

Revelation 16:19  The great city of Babylon split into three sections, and the cities of many nations fell into heaps of rubble. So God remembered all of Babylon's sins, and he made her drink the cup that was filled with the wine of his fierce wrath.  (see verses 17-21)
