Psalm 89:41-45 Part 2 of 2

Everyone who comes along has robbed him,
    and he has become a joke to his neighbors.
You have strengthened his enemies
    and made them all rejoice.
You have made his sword useless
    and refused to help him in battle.
You have ended his splendor
    and overturned his throne.
You have made him old before his time
    and publicly disgraced him.

You have strengthened his enemies and made them all rejoice. You have made his sword useless and refused to help him in battle.
Psalm 13:2
How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul,
    with sorrow in my heart every day?
    How long will my enemy have the upper hand?  (see all Psalm 13)
Jeremiah 25:9  "I will gather together all the armies of the north under King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, whom I have appointed as my deputy. I will bring them all against this land and its people and against the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy you and make you an object of horror and contempt and a ruin forever."  (see verses 1-14)
Jeremiah 42:18  "This is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies, the God of Israel, says: 'Just as my anger and fury have been poured out on the people of Jerusalem, so they will be poured out on you when you enter Egypt. You will be an object of damnation, horror, cursing, and mockery. And you will never see your homeland again.' " (see all chapter 42)

You have ended his splendor and overturned his throne.
Ezekiel 28:7
"I will now bring against you a foreign army,
    the terror of the nations.
They will draw their swords against your marvelous wisdom
    and defile your splendor!"  (see verses 1-19)

You have made him old before his time and publicly disgraced him.
Psalm 39:5
"You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand.
    My entire life time is just a moment to you;
    at best, each of us is but a breath."  (see all Psalm 39)
Psalm 102:23-24
He broke my strength in midlife,
    cutting short my days.
But I cried to him, "O my God, who lives forever,
    don't take my life while I am so young!"  (see all Psalm 102)
Psalm 44:14-16
You have made us the butt of their jokes;
    they shake their heads at us in scorn.
We can't escape the constant humiliation;
    shame is written across our faces.
All we hear are the taunts of our mockers.
    All we see are vengeful enemies.  (see all Psalm 44)
