Psalm 90:3-6 Part 2 of 2

You turn people back to dust, saying,
    "Return to dust, you mortals!"
For you, a thousand years are as a passing day,
as brief as a few night hours.
You sweep people away like dreams that disappear.
They are like grass that springs up in the morning.
In the morning it blooms and flourishes,
but by evening it is dried and withered.

You sweep people away like dreams that disappear. They are like grass that springs up in the morning.
Genesis 19:15  At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent. "Hurry," they said to Lot. "Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out right now, or you will be swept away in the destruction of the city!"
(see verses 1-29)
Numbers 16:25-26  So Moses got up and rushed over to the tents of Dathan and Abiram, followed by the elders of Israel. "Quick!" he told the people. "Get away from the tents of these wicked men, and don't touch anything that belongs to them. If you do, you will be destroyed for their sins."
(see all chapter 16)
Psalm 58:9
God will sweep them away, both young and old,
faster than a pot heats over burning thorns.  (see all Psalm 58)

In the morning it blooms and flourishes, but by evening it is dried and withered.
Psalm 92:7
Though the wicked sprout like weeds
    and evildoers flourish,
they will be destroyed forever.  (see all Psalm 92)
Isaiah 40:6-8
A voice said "Shout!"
I asked, "What should I shout?"
"Shout that the people are like grass.
    Their beauty fades as quickly
as the flowers in a field.
The grass withers and the flowers fade
beneath the breath of the LORD.
And so it is with people.
The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever."  (see all chapter 40)
Matthew 6:30  "And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?"  (see verses 25-34)
James 1:10-11  And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field. The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls, and its beauty fades away. In the same way, the rich will fade away with all their achievements.
(see verses 2-18)
