Psalm 89:26-29 Part 2 of 3

"And he will call out to me, 'You are my Father,
    my God, and the Rock of my salvation.'
I will make him my firstborn son,
    the mightiest king on earth.
I will love him and be kind to him forever;
    my covenant with him will never end.
I will preserve an heir for him;
    his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven."

"I will make him my firstborn son, the mightiest king on earth."
Matthew 3:17  And a voice from heaven said, "This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy."  (see verses 13-17, also Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:29-34)
Romans 8:29  For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.  (see all chapter 8)
Colossians 1:18
Christ is also the head of the church,
    which is his body.
He is the beginning,
    supreme over all who rise from the dead.
    So he is first in everything.  (see verses 15-23)
Hebrews 1:5-6  For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus:
    "You are my son.
        Today I have become your Father."
God also said:
    "I will be his Father,
        and he will be my Son."
And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said,
    "Let all of God's angels worship him."
Revelation 1:5  ... He (Jesus Christ) is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.  (see verses 4-8)
Revelation 19:16  On his robe at his thigh was written this title:  King of all kings and Lord of all lords.  (see verses 11-21)
Psalm 145:10-13
All your works will thank you, LORD,
    and your faithful followers will praise you.
They will speak of the glory of your kingdom;
    they will give examples of your power.
They will tell about your mighty deeds
    and about the majesty and glory of your reign.
For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
    You rule throughout all generations.  (see all Psalm 145)
