Luke 17:11-14 Part 2 of 3

As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. As he entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance, crying out, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" He looked at them and said, "Go show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy.

As he entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance,
Leviticus 13:45-46  "Those who suffer from a serious skin disease must tear their clothing and leave their hair uncombed. They must cover their mouth and call out, 'Unclean! Unclean!' As long as the serious disease lasts, they will be ceremonially unclean. They must live in isolation in their place outside the camp." (see verses 13:1-14:32)
2 Kings 7:3-4  Now there were four men with leprosy sitting at the entrance to the city gates. "Why should we sit here waiting to die?" they asked each other. "We will starve if we stay here, but with the famine in the city, we will starve if we go back there. So we might as well go out and surrender to the Aramean army. If they let us live, so much the better. But if they kill us, we would have died anyway." (see verses 6:24-7:20)

crying out, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
Luke 5:12-13  In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. "Lord," he said, "if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean." Jesus reached out and touched him. "I am willing," he said. "Be healed!" And instantly the leprosy disappeared. (see also Matthew 8:2-3)
Luke 18:38-39  So he began shouting, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"  "Be quiet!" the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" (see verses 35-42)
