Luke 17:26-29 Part 2 of 2

"When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah's day. In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all. And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business--eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building--until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all."

"In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all."
Matthew 24:38-39  "In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn't realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes."

"And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business--eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building--"
Genesis 18:20-21  So the LORD told Abraham, "I have heard a great outcry from Sodom and Gomorrah, because their sin is so flagrant. I am going down to see if their actions are as wicked as I have heard. If not, I want to know."
Genesis 18:32-33  Finally, Abraham said, "Lord, please don't be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose there are only ten found there?" And the LORD replied, "Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten." When the LORD had finished his conversation with Abraham, he went on his way, and Abraham returned to his tent. (see verses 22-33)
2 Peter 2:7  But God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him.

"until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all."
Genesis 19:17  When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered, "Run for your lives! And don't look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!" (see verses 1-29)
Genesis 19:24-25  Then the LORD rained down fire and burning sulfur from the sky on Sodom and Gomorrah. He utterly destroyed them, along with the other cities and villages of the plain, wiping out all the people and every bit of vegetation.
2 Peter 2:6  Later, God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and turned them into heaps of ashes. He made them an example of what will happen to ungodly people. (see verses 6-9)
