Luke 17:7-10 Part 2 of 2

"When a servant comes in from plowing or taking care of sheep, does his master say, 'Come in and eat with me'? No, he says, 'Prepare my meal, put on your apron, and serve me while I eat. Then you can eat later.' And does the master thank the servant for doing what he was told to do? Of course not. In the same way, when you obey me you should say, 'We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.' "

"And does the master thank the servant for doing what he was told to do? Of course not. In the same way, when you obey me you should say, 'We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.' "
Matthew 21:26-27  "But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave." (see verses 20-28)
Matthew 24:45-47  "A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns." (see verses 45-51)
John 14:23  Jesus replied, "All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them." (see verses 15-29)
John 15:12-13  "This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends." (see verses 9-17)
Acts 9:15  But the Lord said, "Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel." (see verses 1-30)
1 Corinthians 9:16-17  Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn't preach the Good News! If I were doing this on my own initiative, I would deserve payment. But I have no choice, for God has given me this sacred trust.
