Luke 18:1 Part 1 of 2

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and never give up.

1 Samuel 12:23  "As for me [the prophet Samuel], I will certainly not sin against the LORD by ending my prayers for you [Israel]. And I will continue to teach you what is good and right." [see all chapter 12]                       

Isaiah 40:29-30  He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Acts 1:14  They [the apostles] all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, and the brothers of Jesus.

Acts 2:42  All the believers devoted themselves to sharing in the meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer. [see also Acts 4:23-31]

Romans 1:9  God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heart by spreading the Good News about his Son. 

Romans 12:12  Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.

Ephesians 1:15-16  Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, ... [see verses 15-23]

Ephesians 6:18  Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Philippians 1:4-5  Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. [see verses 3-11]

Colossians 1:9  So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. [see verses 9-14]
