Luke 17:30-33 Part 2 of 2

"Yes, it will be 'business as usual' right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed. On that day a person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return home. Remember what happened to Lot's wife! If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it."

"On that day a person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return home."
Matthew 24:17-18  "A person out on the deck of a roof must not go down into the house to pack. A person out in the field must not return even to get a coat." (see verses 4-22, also Mark 13:1-33)
Luke 21:21-24   "Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. Those in Jerusalem must get out, and those in the country should not return to the city. For those will be days of God's vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled." (see verses 5-36)

"Remember what happened to Lot's wife!"
Genesis 19:26  But Lot's wife looked back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt. (see verses 1-29)

"If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it."
Mark 8:34-37  Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?" (see also Matthew 10:39, Luke 9:23-24, John 12:23-26)
