Luke 18:15-17

One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him. Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it."

One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them.

But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him.

Luke 18:39  "Be quiet!" the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" (see verses 35-43)

 

Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children." 

Matthew 18:3  Then he said, "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven." (see verses 1-6, also Matthew 19:14-15, Mark 10:14)

Mark 9:39-40  "Don't stop him!" Jesus said, "No one who performs a miracle in my name will soon be able to speak evil of me. Anyone who is not against us is for us." (see verses 38-41)

 

"I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it." 

Matthew 11:25  At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: "O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike." (see verses 20-30)

1 Peter 2:2-3  Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord's kindness.

Luke 8:13  "The seeds on the rocky soil represent those who hear the message and receive it with joy. But since they don't have deep roots, they believe for a while, then they fall away when they face temptation." (see verses 4-15)

John 3:3, 5  Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God." ... Jesus replied, "I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit." (see verses 1-21)
