Luke 18:2-5

"There was a judge in a certain city," he (Jesus) said, "who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, 'Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.' The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, 'I don't fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I'm going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!' "

Job 1:1  There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless--a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil.

Proverbs 1:7  Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Proverbs 14:31  Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him.

Proverbs 16:6  Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin. By fearing the LORD, people avoid evil.

Ecclesiastes 3:14  And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God's purpose is that people should fear him.

Ecclesiastes 12:13  That's the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone's duty.

Romans 3:18  "They have no fear of God at all." (see verses 9-31)

Psalm 36:1  Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all.

Isaiah 1:17  Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows. 

1 Timothy 5:3  Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her.

Luke 11:8  "But I tell you this--though he won't do it for friendship's sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence." (see verses 5-13)
