Luke 15:20-24 Part 3 of 3

"So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. His son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.' But his father said to the servants, 'Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.' So the party began."

" 'And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast,' "
Luke 12:18-19  "Then he said, 'I know! I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I'll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. " 'for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.' So the party began."

Colossians 2:13-14  You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. [see verses 1-23]
Revelation 3:1  "Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars: I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive--but you are dead." [see verses 1-6]
Luke 15:32  " 'We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!' "
