Luke 16:16-18 Part 1 of 2

"Until John the Baptist, the law of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides. But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is eager to get in. But that doesn't mean that the law has lost its force. It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest point of God's law to be overturned. For example, a man who divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery. And anyone who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery."

"Until John the Baptist, the law of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides."
Jeremiah 31:31  "The day is coming," says the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah." (see verses 31-34)
Matthew 5:17  "Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose."
Matthew 11:12-13  "And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it. For before John came, all the prophets and the law of Moses looked forward to this present time."
Hebrews 8:6  But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. (see verses 6-13)

"But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is eager to get in."
Matthew 4:23a  Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom.
Mark 1:14-15  Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God's Good News. "The time promised by God has come at last!" he announced. "The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!"
Luke 4:43  But he (Jesus) replied, "I must preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God in other towns, too, because that is why I was sent."
Acts 28:23  So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul's lodging. He explained and testified about he Kingdom of God and tried to persuade them about Jesus from the Scriptures. Using the law of Moses and the books of the prophets, he spoke to them from morning until evening.
Acts 28:30-31  For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.
