Luke 16:13-15 Part 3 of 3

"No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, heard all this and scoffed at him. Then he said to them, "You like to appear righteous in public, but God knows your hearts. What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God."

"What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God."
Titus 1:15-16  Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.
Proverbs 3:31-32  Don't envy violent people, or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the LORD, but he offers his friendship to the godly.
Proverbs 6:16-19  There are six things the LORD hates--no seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.
Proverbs 11:20  The LORD detests people with crooked hearts, but he delights in those with integrity.
Proverbs 12:22  The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.
Proverbs 17:15  Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent--both are detestable to the LORD.
Proverbs 20:10  False weights and unequal measures--the LORD detests double standards of every kind.
