Luke 16:5-8 Part 2 of 2

"So he invited each person who owed money to his employer to come and discuss the situation. He asked the first one, 'How much do you owe him?' The man replied, 'I owe him 800 gallons of olive oil.' So the manager told him, 'Take the bill and quickly change it to 400 gallons. And how much do you owe my employer?' he asked the next man. 'I owe 1,000 bushels of wheat,' was the reply. 'Here,' the manager said, 'take the bill and change it to 800 bushels.' The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light."

Psalm 17:14  By the power of your hand, O LORD, destroy those who look to this world for their reward. But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones. May their children have plenty, leaving an inheritance for their descendants.

Psalm 18:26  To the pure you show yourself pure, but to the wicked you show  yourself hostile.

John 12:36  "Put your trust in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light." After saying these things, Jesus went away and was hidden from them. (see verses 23-36)

Ephesians 5:5-8  You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Don't be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don't participate in the things these people do. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!  

1 Thessalonians 5:5  For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don't belong to darkness and night. (see verses 4:13-5:11)
