Luke 17:1-4 Part 1 of 2

One day Jesus said to his disciples, "There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting! It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. So watch yourselves! If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive."

One day Jesus said to his disciples, "There will always be temptations to sin,"
Matthew 26:41  "Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!" (see verses 36-46, and also Mark 14:38)
Luke 22:40  There he told them, "Pray that you will not give in to temptation." (see verses 39-46)
1 Corinthians 10:13  The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
Galatians 6:1  Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.
1 Timothy 6:9  But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. (see verse 10)

"but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting!"
Matthew 18:7  "What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting."
Matthew 13:40-41  "Just as weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will remove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil." (see verses 36-43)
Luke 22:21-22  "But here at this table, sitting among us as a friend, is the man who will betray me. For it has been determined that the Son of Man must die. But what sorrow awaits the one who betrays him." (see verses 1-23)
