Luke 21:16-19 Part 3 of 3

"Even those closest to you--your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends--will betray you. They will even kill some of you. And everyone will hate you because you are my followers. But not a hair of your head will perish! By standing firm, you will win your souls."

"But not a hair of your head will perish!"
1 Samuel 14:45  But the people broke in and said to Saul, "Jonathan has won this great victory for Israel. Should he die? Far from it! As surely as the LORD lives, not one hair on his head will be touched, for God helped him do a great deed today." So the people rescued Jonathan, and he was not put to death. (see verses 24-46)
2 Samuel 14:11  Then she said, "Please swear to me by the LORD your God that you won't let anyone take vengeance on my son. I want no more bloodshed."  "As surely as the LORD lives," he replied, "not a hair on your son's head will be disturbed!" (see verses 1-24)
1 Kings 1:52  Solomon replied, "If he proves himself to be loyal, not a hair on his head will be touched. But if he makes trouble, he will die." (see all chapter 1)
Matthew 10:30-31  "And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. (see verses 16-39)
John 10:27-29  "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand."

"By standing firm, you will win your souls."
Matthew 10:22  "And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved." (see also Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13)
Revelation 2:9-10  "I know about your suffering and your poverty--but you are rich! I know the blasphemy of those opposing you. They say they are Jews, but they are not, because their synagogue belongs to Satan. Don't be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life." (see verses 8-11)
