Luke 22:3-6 Part 2 of 2

Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples, and he went to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard to discuss the best way to betray Jesus to them. They were delighted, and they promised to give him money. So he agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus so they could arrest him when the crowds weren't around.

John 6:70-71  Then Jesus said, "I chose the twelve of you, but one is a devil." He was speaking of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, one of the Twelve, who would later betray him.

John 12:4-5  But Judas Iscariot, the disciple who would soon betray him, said, "That perfume was worth a year's wages. It should have been sold and the money given to the poor." [see also verse 6]

John 13:2  It was time for supper, and the devil had already prompted Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.

 

And he went to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard to discuss the best way to betray Jesus to them. 

Mark 14:10  Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the leading priests to arrange to betray Jesus to them. [see also Matthew 26:14]

 

They were delighted, and they promised to give him money. 

Zechariah 11:12  And I said to them, "If you like, give me my wages, whatever I am worth; but only if you want to." So they counted out for my wages thirty pieces of silver.

Matthew 26:15  ... and asked, "How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?" And they gave him thirty pieces of silver.

Mark 14:11a  They were delighted when they heard why he had come, and they promised to give him money.

 

So he agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus so they could arrest him when the crowds weren't around. 

Matthew 26:16  From that time on, Judas began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus.

Mark 14:11b  So he began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
