"Then
everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great
glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for
your salvation is near!"
"Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory."
Revelation 1:7 Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. and everyone will see him--even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!
Acts 1:9-11 After saying this (verses 7-8), he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men stood among them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!" (see verses 1-2, Luke 24:50-51)
Matthew 24:30 "And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (see verses 29-31, also 25:31-33, 26:64, Titus 2:11-14)
"So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!"
Romans 8:23 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. (see verses 18-25)
Romans 13:11 This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. (see verses 8-14)
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. (see verses 50-58)
Ephesians 4:30 And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
Hebrews 9:27-28 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (see verses 24-27)
