Luke 21:25-26 Part 1 of 2

"And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken."

Isaiah 13:10  "The heavens will be black above them; the stars will give no light. The sun will be dark when it rises, and the moon will provide no light." (see verses 6-13)

Isaiah 24:23  Then the glory of the moon will wane, and the brightness of the sun will fade, for the LORD of Heaven's Armies will rule on Mount Zion. (see all chapter 24)

Ezekiel 32:7-8  "When I blot you out, I will veil the heavens and darken the stars. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light. I will darken the bright stars overhead and cover your land in darkness. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!" (see verses 1-16)

Joel 2:10  The earth quakes as they advance, and the heavens tremble. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars no longer shine. (see verses 1-11)

Joel 2:30-31  "And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on earth--blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible day of the LORD arrives. (see verses 28-32)

Joel 3:15  The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will no longer shine. (see verses 14-16)

Amos 5:20  "Yes, the day of the LORD will be dark and hopeless, without a ray of joy or hope." (see verses 18-20)

Amos 8:9  "In that day," says the Sovereign LORD, "I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth while it is still day." (see verses 7-10)

Zephaniah 1:15  "It will be a day when the LORD's anger is poured out--a day of terrible distress and anguish, a day of ruin and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, ..." (see verses 14-18)

Acts 2:20  " 'The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives.' " (see verses 17-21)

Revelation 6:12  I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became red as blood. (see verses 12-17)
