Luke 21:29-33 Part 2 of 2

Then he gave them this illustration: "Notice the fig tree, or any other tree. When the leaves come out, you know without being told that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things taking place (see verses 5-36), you can know that the Kingdom of God is near. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear."

"I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until these things have taken place."
Matthew 24:34  "I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place." (see also Mark 13:30)
Luke 11:50-51  "As a result, this generation will be held responsible for the murder of all God's prophets from the creation of the world--from the murder of Abel to the murder of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, it will certainly be charged against this generation." (see verses 37-52)

"Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear."
Psalm 119:89  Your eternal word, O LORD, stands firm in heaven.
Isaiah 40:8  "The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever." (see verses 6-8)
Isaiah 55:11  "It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." (see all chapter 55)
Luke 16:17  "But that doesn't mean that the law has lost its force. It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest point of God's law to be overturned." (see verses 14-17)
1 Peter 1:23-25  You have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. As the Scriptures say: "People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades. But the word of the Lord remains forever. (Isaiah 40:8)" And that word is the Good News that was preached to you. (see verses 3-25)
