Luke 21:29-33 Part 1 of 2

Then he gave them this illustration: "Notice the fig tree, or any other tree. When the leaves come out, you know without being told that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things taking place (see verses 5-36), you can know that the Kingdom of God is near. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear."

 

Then he gave them this illustration: "Notice the fig tree, or any other tree. When the leaves come out, you know without being told that summer is near." 

Matthew 24:32  "Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near." (see also Mark 13:28)

Matthew 16:2-3  He replied, "You know the saying, 'Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow; red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.' You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don't know how to interpret the signs of the times!" (see also Luke 12:54-56)

 

"In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that the Kingdom of God is near." 

Matthew 6:10  "May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Matthew 24:33  "In the same way, when you see all these things (verses 4-22), you can know his return is very near, right at the door." (see also Mark 13:29)

Luke 11:20  "But if I am casting out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you." (see verses 14-23)

John 3:3  Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God." (see verses 1-21)

Acts 1:3  During the forty days after his crucifixion, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 15:50-51  What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God (see verses 42-49). These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever. But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we all will be transformed! (see verses 52-57)
