Luke 21:34-36 Part 2 of 2

"Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don't let that day catch you unaware, like a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man."

 

"For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert at all times."

Matthew 25:13  "So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return." (see verses 1-13)

Matthew 26:41  "Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!" (see verses 36-46)

1 Peter 5:8  Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Luke 18:1  One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. (see verses 1-8)

1 Peter 4:7  The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

 

"and stand before the Son of Man." 

1 Corinthians 16:13  Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.

1 Peter 5:9  Stand firm against him (the devil), and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

1 John 2:28  And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.
