Don't
speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you
criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging
God's law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it
applies to you. God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has
the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your
neighbor?
But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you.
James 1:22 But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise you are only fooling yourselves. (see verses 22-25)
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge.
Psalm 94:2 Arise, O judge of the earth. Give the proud what they deserve. (see verses 1-11)
Isaiah 33:22 For the LORD is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us. (see all chapter 33)
1 Corinthians 4:5 So don't make judgments about anyone ahead of time--before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due. (see verses 1-5)
1 Peter 4:5 But remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead. (see verses 4-6)
He alone has the power to save or to destroy.
Matthew 10:28 "Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (see verses 24-42)
So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
1 Corinthians 4:7 For what gives you the right to make such a judgment? What do you have that God hasn't given you? And if everything you have is from God, why boast as though it were not a gift? (see verses 6-16)
