James 4:13-14

Look here, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit." How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog--it's here a little while, then it's gone.

Proverbs 27:1  Don't brag about tomorrow, since you don't know what the day will bring.

Luke 12:18-20  "Then he said, 'I know! I'll tear down all my barns and build bigger ones. Then I'll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. And I'll sit back and say to myself, "My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!" ' But God said to him, 'You fool! How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog--it's here a little while, then it's gone. 

Job 7:7  "O God, remember that my life is but a breath, and I will never again feel happiness." (see verses 6-21)

Psalm 39:5  "You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath." (see all Psalm 39)

Psalm 102:3  For my days disappear like smoke, and my bones burn like red-hot coals. (see verses 1-11)

Psalm 144:4  For they are like a breath of air; their days are like a passing shadow. (see verses 3-4)

Isaiah 2:22  Don't put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they? (see verses 12-22)
