Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord's return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.

Luke 17:30  "Yes, it will be business as usual right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed." (see verses 20-37)

John 14:3  "When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am." (see all chapter 14)

1 Corinthians 1:7  Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. (see verses 4-9)

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17  For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. (see verses 13-18)

1 Peter 1:13  So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. (see all chapter 1)

1 John 2:28  And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back in shame. (see verses 18-29)

Revelation 22:7  "Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book."

Revelation 22:12  "Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds."

 

Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. 

Galatians 6:9  So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. (see verses 7-10)

They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.

Deuteronomy 11:13-14  "If you carefully obey all the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the LORD your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, then he will send the rains in their proper seasons--the early and late rains--so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil." (see verses 8-32)

Jeremiah 5:24  "They do not say from the heart, 'Let us live in awe of the Lord our God, for he gives us rain each spring and fall, assuring us of a harvest when the time is right.' " (see verses 20-31)

Joel 2:23  Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem! Rejoice in the LORD your God! For the rain he sends demonstrates his faithfulness. Once more the autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of spring. (see verses 18-27)
